Clarification on Title Nomination & Qualification Criteria

Posted by on Feb 25, 2024

Appendix A Rules 1 & 2 of the AIDKA Rule Book sets out the qualification criteria for Titles. Please ensure that BEFORE nominating a driver for a title event that the driver meets the qualification criteria and that you take the time to ensure that the nomination contains the correct version of logbook to show qualification. This may mean attaching copies of both the current year, and the previous year’s logbook. When the nomination is submitted it is reviewed by the AIDKA Secretary. The nomination will sit as “PENDING” until this is done. Once reviewed and it is confirmed that that driver meets the qualification criteria the nomination is ACCEPTED. It will no longer state “PENDING” next to the driver’s name.  However if the nomination is reviewed and it is deemed that the qualification criteria HAS NOT been meet, or proven, the licence holder will receive an email via the App advising of this.  The nomination will then be “WITHHELD” & will not be visible on the nom listing until proof of qualification is received. PLEASE NOTE this means the drivers...

2024 AIDKA Fees

2024 AIDKA Fees

Dec 18, 2023

Dear Members, At the AIDKA AGM held Friday 8th December 2023, the fees for the 2024 season where reviewed and as a result unfortunately there have been some increases. The attached document lists the updated fees, with the changes highlighted. AIDKA LIST OF FEES Effective 1st February 2024Download However, we will just touch on a few points below: After 5 years without having changes the licence fees unfortunately this year the licences have increased. Every effort has been made to keep this increase to a minimum, however it has been unavoidable. Casual Pit Passes have increased to $10 per pass/day. AIDKA will retain the full $10 per pass and will invoice each club as we currently do. AIDKA will be providing wrist bands to each club for the Casual Pit Passes, and these will be issued before the start of the season. For those pit crews who regularly attend meetings and purchase a Casual Pit Pass, we encourage you to look at purchasing a Pit Crew Licence.  The Maximum Title Nomination Fee has been increased so that the AIDKA Levy can be increased from $30 to $45. This was proposed by one of the Clubs to offset the titles expense to AIDKA. Finally, a new fee has been introduced “AIDKA Nomination Levy” this is a $3 levy on all club event nominations (including Education Days). The purpose of this levy is to reduce a larger increase in the licensing fees. By introducing this levy the cost can be spread across a race season rather than at the time of licence purchase/renewal. Whilst every effort has been made to keep the fee increases to a minimum (including a review of expenditure) unfortunately as an association we have had no alternative but to increase fees. Please note 2024 Licence will not be available for purchase until the 1st January 2024. Also please be mindful that your club has to approve the licence their end and have paid their annual Club Affiliation Fees before any licences are validated at AIDKA’s end. We look forward to seeing everyone trackside in 2024. AIDKA...

Fuel & Oil Rule Change Effective 1st September 2023

Fuel & Oil Rule Change Effective 1st September 2023

Jul 3, 2023

Recently AIDKA have undertaken a review of our fuel rules which included conducting a survey of what fuel and oils members are using.   After the AIDKA Survey results were analysed, 22 oils have been tested with PULP, VP C9 and PowerPlus at all different ratios to get a current data base. From these results the Fuel Committee, along with the AIDKA Technical Committee have proposed we control oils available for use in AIDKA to a list of 22 oils and have an option for others to be introduced or some eliminated if our data shows from testing that it is not being used readily. This will help control fuel and oils within the sport. Amongst the testing and analysis, we have found that PowerPlus contains ethanol and is illegal for our sport. The readings are extremely different to the other 2 options of fuel available. At the June 2023 Council Meeting it was passed that the below rule changes be implemented effective as of 1st September 2023. This includes banning PowerPlus. Please note that PowerPlus cannot be used at any title event prior to this date, but only club meetings. 2022 NT Title – ONLINE DRIVERS BRIEFING ** NOW ONLINE **

2022 NT Title – ONLINE DRIVERS BRIEFING ** NOW ONLINE **

Jul 12, 2022

A email went out to all nominated drivers for the 2022 NT Dirt Kart State Title this week advising that we will be trialling delivering the Drivers Brief via Drivers Briefing Notes.  Again the intention of trialling this is to reduce the amount of time at the morning drivers briefing whilst still relaying all the important information to Drivers & Pit Crews before the commencement of the meeting. The Drivers Briefing Notes – click on Download link below: Drivers Briefing Notes_FINALDownload So what do you need to do? Ensure you and your pit crew have read and understood the Drivers Briefing Notes. This is CRUCIAL.   If you have a driver under the age of 18 please ensure they understand the contents of the Drivers Briefing Notes. At Driver Registration you will sign to acknowledge you have read and understood the Drivers Briefing Notes. Please ask any questions you may have at the In Person Drivers Briefing on Friday morning (15th July 2022) Be open minded about the trial. We will be asking for your feedback after the event. We genuinely want to know if you thought this worked or not, added value to the meeting or not, and what further improvements can be made. If you have any questions regarding any of the above please do not hesitate to contact AIDKA Secretary Kylie Thompson (secretary@aidka.com.au or 0400 114 135.)  Otherwise we look forward to seeing you in...

Drivers Brief for the 2022 Northern Territory Titles

Drivers Brief for the 2022 Northern Territory Titles

Jul 11, 2022

The 2022 Northern Territory Titles are fast approaching. And, after not being able to run this event for the past 2 seasons, we are excited to crown the 2022 Northern Territory Dirt Kart Champions! However, at this Title we are going to trial using Drivers Briefing Notes.  The intention of trialling this is to reduce the amount of time at the morning drivers briefing whilst still relaying all the important information to Drivers & Pit Crews before the commencement of the meeting. So what does this mean? The Drivers Briefing Notes will be published on the AIDKA Website on Wednesday 13th July 2022. The link to the Drivers Briefing Notes will be sent out to ALL AIDKA Licence Holders via the AIDKA App. The link will also be published on the AIDKA Facebook Page, and under the “Documents” section on the AIDKA App. The reason it will go to ALL licence holders and not just the nominated drivers is to capture pit crew licence holders including those with drivers under 18 years of age. If, over the course of the weekend, an update needs to be issued the notification will be sent out via the AIDKA App at the completion of the days racing. A very short drivers briefing will be held Friday as per the Timetable to give any drivers or pit crew the opportunity to ask questions. It also gives the Chief Steward the opportunity to introduce themselves and the other key officials. Please remember that even though the In Person Drivers Briefing is expected to be short ALL drivers, pit crew, parents/guardians and family members who will be in the pit area are required to attend, and we ask that you arrive promptly when called. So what do you need to do? Ensure you and your pit crew have read and understood the Drivers Briefing Notes. This is CRUCIAL.  If you have a driver under the age of 18 please ensure they understand the contents of the Drivers Briefing Notes. At Driver Registration you will sign to acknowledge you have read and understood the Drivers Briefing Notes. Please ask any questions you may have at the In Person Drivers Briefing on...

AIDKA Code of Conduct & Social Media reminder

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL AIDKA LICENCE HOLDERS Sadly we are seeing an increase in complaints about intimidation, bullying and generally unacceptable behaviour via social media in OUR SPORT. This must stop as of now. AIDKA does have a Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy (which is in the 2022 AIDKA Rule Book). We would like to take this opportunity to ask people to familiarise themselves with the Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy. Penalties can be, and have been imposed (including a suspension for up to 3 months for the first offence) for any person deemed to be in breach. For those who have AIDKA members under 18 we encourage you have the conversation with them regarding what IS and IS NOT acceptable. Some discussion topics are listed below. Be nice. Mean behaviour is not OK. Make it clear that you expect your kids to treat others with respect, and to never post hurtful or embarrassing messages. And ask them to always tell you about any harassing or bullying messages that others post.Think twice before hitting “enter.” Remind them that what they post can be used against them. Once they hit enter their comments cannot be taken back. Follow the “WWGS?” (What Would Grandma Say?) rule. Teach kids not to share anything on social media that they wouldn’t want their teachers, parents, AIDKA Executive — and yes, grandma — to see.Use privacy settings. Privacy settings are important. Go through them together to make sure your kids understand each one. Also, explain that passwords are there to protect them against things like identity theft. They should never share them with anyone, even a boyfriend, girlfriend, or best friend.Don’t “friend” strangers. “If you don’t know them, don’t friend them.” This is a plain, simple — and safe — rule of thumb.Defriend “friends” who are harassing or bullying them. Encourage your kids to leave chats, groups or defriend people who make them feel uncomfortable or upset. Or if they feel they are being harassed or bullied. Some great information and help can be found at...

No additional grinding allowed. Regards. AIDKA Technical Committee. Posted:...

Clarification on Title Nomination & Qualification Criteria

Clarification on Title Nomination & Qualification Criteria

Feb 25, 2024

PLEASE NOTE this means the drivers nomination position in the Class Entries WILL NOT be held. In the case where nominations are capped it is only the first genuine and correct nominations received will be accepted. Once qualification is proven then the nomination will be accepted and returned to the Class Entry listing. If qualification is not met/proven by the close of noms for this event OR the class reaches capacity, a refund will be issued in line with App A Rule 2 Refund...
