IMPORTANT SOCIAL MEDIA NOTICE
SOCIAL MEDIA Recently we have seen an increase in breaches of AIDKA Social Media Policy and several penalties and warnings have been handed out to members. The Increase in ‘Cyber Bullying’ is not good for our sport and we will not take it lightly, it needs to STOP. AIDKA Executive are now using social media to advise members of rules changes, discussion topics and other relevant subjects. This is working and proven by comments made recently that not all members in the past have been advised by their delegates via their clubs on what is happening within the association. We invite constructive negative and positive points of view and the way to address your point is to advise your club of those points and they will forward it to executive when it is needed. In recent posts on group pages and personal pages we have seen good discussion on current topics, but some comments are unwarranted as they are incorrect, ill informed, unfounded accusations and derogative towards others. This is not good for our sport if we want to see growth in the future. It needs to STOP now. All this is breaching AIDKA Social Media Policy and Code of Conduct and will be dealt with. Please ask yourself, family and friends to think before you write and ask if the intended comment is warranted, correct and for the benefit of our sport. AIDKA...

Rule Change 15.4.6 (Midgets)
Please make sure you pass this on to your club scrutineers. Midgets are exempt from Rule 15.4.6 as the karts are manufactured in a way that steering stops are not able to be used or aluminium angle used on the Tie Rod ends. However a piece of (round) rubber is to be fitted (cable tied or glued ) on the Bottom of the steering shaft so there is no metal to metal contact with the steering shaft and tie rods. 15.4.6 Tie rods are not to come into contact with steering shaft when at full lock left or right. Adjustable steering stops required on right and left sides of kart to prevent tie rods from making contact with steering shaft and locking up steering. Lawrie Tucker National Scrutineer...
