SOCIAL MEDIA

Recently we have seen an increase in breaches of AIDKA Social Media Policy and several penalties and warnings have been handed out to members.

The Increase in ‘Cyber Bullying’ is not good for our sport and we will not take it lightly, it needs to STOP.

AIDKA Executive are now using social media to advise members of rules changes, discussion topics and other relevant subjects. This is working and proven by comments made recently that not all members in the past have been advised by their delegates via their clubs on what is happening within the association.

We invite constructive negative and positive points of view and the way to address your point is to advise your club of those points and they will forward it to executive when it is needed.

In recent posts on group pages and personal pages we have seen good discussion on current topics, but some comments are unwarranted as they are incorrect, ill informed, unfounded accusations and derogative towards others. This is not good for our sport if we want to see growth in the future. It needs to STOP now. All this is breaching AIDKA Social Media Policy and Code of Conduct and will be dealt with.

Please ask yourself, family and friends to think before you write and ask if the intended comment is warranted, correct and for the benefit of our sport.

REFUND PROCESSING COMPLETE

Please be advised that all refunds have now been processed for the Australian Title Nomination Fees.

All credits (nomination fees, NOT dinner tickets) will go back to the credit or debit card used in the original transaction .

The only exception are 13 credits that will go back through a pay pal system , these were transactions that had a credit previously applied to them , these people will receive an email from PayPal advising them of how to access their credit .

Number Requirements – Effective 1st September

The AIDKA council over the weekend discussed the issue’s with numbers and have amended the rule to the following, effective 1st September 2016

15.9.1
Rear number plates shall be flexible material with a flat surface that is a minimum of 200mm square, to carry numbers which must be a minimum of 145mm high and a minimum of 20mm thick and be a plain or italic font. The numbers must be a minimum of 10mm from the edge of the plate or flexible material and a 10mm gap between double or triple digit numbers. Front numbers to have a minimum of a 20mm background

In addition to this amendment all State plate holders will be required to run the state letter 100mm high preceding the number

2017 SA Title Dates.

Dates for the 2017 have been decided by the AIDKA council at the June Special Meeting. The date will be April 21st – 23rd 2017

AIDKA Approved Fuels

At the recent May AIDKA meeting the Council have voted to allow an additional approved fuel under rule 27.1.2. The additional allowable fuel is POWERPLUS 98+ and will be allowed for use immediately. Performance testing has been conducted with no additional power gain found from is use. The reason for the change is due to the increasing issues drivers are finding with regular PULP fuel so an additional “drum” fuel has been approved for use. Specific data on the POWERPlus 98+ fuel can be found on their web site. This is the only approved PowerPlus fuel approved.
