3. Rule Changes & Supplementary Rules And Regulations

3.1 RULE CHANGES

3.1.1 Rule change meetings will be held every year on or around the 14th
August for the following Annual Rule Book.
3.1.2 If a rule change is submitted at two consecutive rule change
meetings, it shall be ineligible to be submitted again for two (2)
years from the date of the AIDKA council meeting at which the
second submission was defeated
3.1.3 Safety rules may be approved by AIDKA executive at any stage.
3.1.4 Technical rules recommended by the Technical sub-committee
may be approved by AIDKA Council at any stage. I.E. Rules that
are unworkable or that must be clarified during the year and can’t
wait for Rule Change Meeting
3.1.5 Any change of rules will be sent to all clubs as an amendment/
addendum to current rule book

3.2 SUPPLEMENTARY RULES AND REGULATIONS

3.2.1 A.I.D.K.A Clubs or Executive members may submit a Supplementary
Rules and/or Regulations proposal in writing to the A.I.D.K.A.
Secretary at any time. The A.I.D.K.A. Secretary will forward any
Supplementary Rules/Regulation proposals to the Technical Sub-
Committee.
3.2.2 The Technical Sub-Committee shall be responsible to evaluate new
Supplementary Rules/Regulations and modify them as required
before they are forwarded back to the A.I.D.K.A. Secretary for
distribution to the Clubs for evaluation. Clubs shall be given thirty
(30) days to evaluate the proposed changes, after which they will
be presented at the next A.I.D.K.A. Council meeting for a
decision.
3.2.3 A.I.D.K.A. has the right to approve all or part of the Supplementary
Rules and/or Regulations applied for and may stipulate added
precautions. A.I.D.K.A. also has the right to refuse any application
that is not in the interest of safety or the Association.
3.2.4 Supplementary Rules and/or Regulations relating to an event will
only be enforced during the event.
3.2.5 Supplementary Rules and/or Regulations relating to a Club shall
remain in force until AIDKA removes approval.
3.2.6 Supplementary Rules and/or Regulations will be issued to all Clubs
for inclusion in the official Rules and Constitution book(s) held by
the Secretary of each affiliated Club.
3.2.7 Supplementary Rules and/or Regulations may only be granted with
regard to the format or conduct of an Event(s). All A.I.D.K.A. Rules
with regard to safety will still apply.
3.2.8 Supplementary Rules and Regulations (including proposed
program) shall be submitted to A.I.D.K.A. for Title Events by the
host Club at least two (2) months prior to the Event.
3.2.9 If a supplementary Rule/Regulation is submitted two (2) times in a
twelve (12) month period and is defeated each time, it shall be
ineligible to be submitted again for two (2) years from the date of
the A.I.D.K.A. Council meeting at which the second submission
was defeated.
3.2.10 Safety rules and regulations may be approved by AIDKA executive
at any stage.
3.2.11 Technical rules/regulations recommended by the Technical subcommittee
may be approved by AIDKA Council at any stage. I.E.
Rules that are unworkable or that must be clarified
3.2.12 Any change of rule/regulation will be sent to all clubs as an
amendment/addendum to current rule book
